The team has extensive experience in analyses of various types. They have carried out large automotive projects using both static and component mode synthesis. Various types of analyses carried out are
Static - strength evaluation and margins of safety
Thermo - elastic - thermal distortion and pointing accuracy evaluation
Normal mode - free vibration characteristics
Steady state and Transient - evaluation of responses
Fracture and Fatigue - life prediction using fracture mechanics
Nonlinear - both material and geometric
Buckling - buckling factors and modes
♦ Materials
Usages of materials like metallic, honeycomb, composites and non-linear materials.
♦ Loading/Boundary conditions
Excellent understanding in handling loading and boundary conditions like nodal forces and moments, prescribed displacements, velocities and accelerations, pressure loads, nodal temperatures and heat flux, load application in user-specified co-ordinate systems, single point constraints, multiple point constraints etc.
♦ Model verification
Verifications include checking for duplicate elements, aspect ratio, warpage, skewness, distortion, unconnected elements, closed rigid loops, double dependency of rigid elements etc. At the model level, checks are carried on mass, CG and rigid body modes.
♦ Correlation between test and analysis
Good experience in correlation of mathematical models with test results. Correlation studies are carried out both for static and vibration tests. Updating of mathematical models after studying the test results.
♦ Thermal Analysis
Heat load calculations, Conductive, Convective and Radiative interaction exchange analysis, heat transfer in composite materials under both Steady state and Transient state modes.
♦ Output Results
Stresses, deflections, margins of safety, dynamic characteristics, and mathematical models, load levels from coupled load analysis, test criteria, test-analysis correlation, and design validation / modification.
